LAMC Will Have An All Female Fronted Lineup At Celebrate Brooklyn

Carla Morrison, Hurray for the Riff Raff & Buscabulla

The Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) announces this year's BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! show with an all female fronted lineup for the closing night show at Prospect Park on Saturday, July 9th. Carla Morrison, the Latin GRAMMY Award winning songstress headlines with support from Puerto Rican bluegrass darling Hurray for the Riff Raff and synth-based tropi-funk band Buscabulla. This is the latest addition to the amazing acts recently announced which include Leon Larregui, Mexrrissey, Calle 13's iLe, and Los Cafres, among others.

Carla Morrison is a two-time Latin GRAMMY Award winning Mexican pop artist. Her critically acclaimed album “Dejenme Llorar” has achieved Gold Certification in Mexico. Her latest release "Amor Supremo" has received international praise with Pitchfork calling it "one of the most genuinely moving pop records of 2015." Since its release late last year, Morrison has toured all over Mexico and the US,including Coachella this past April.

Hurray for the Riff Raff is Alynda Segarra, but in many ways it's much more than that: it's a young woman leaving her indelible stamp on the American folk tradition. If you're listening to her new album, 'Small Town Heroes,' odds are you're part of the riff raff, and these songs are for you.

Buscabulla is the Spanish language experimental pop project of Raquel Berrios and Luis del Valle. Raquel, a designer, record collector, and producer teamed up with multi instrumentalist and producer Luis del Valle. The band released their self-titled EP produced by Dev Hynes of Blood Orange on Kitsuné. Born and raised in Puerto Rico but based out of New York, they create a hybrid they like to call the Caribbean music of the future. Buscabulla are currently in the studio working on their next release.
