A and R Connection Showcase featuring The Alternates

Indie Rock Band, The Alternates have announced upcoming performances with a showcase at acclaimed venue, The Key Club in the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, to performing at such notable festivals as the Solano Avenue Festival in Berkeley and the world-famous BAM Festival 2009 in Barcelona, Spain. This high praised Indie Rock Band has made a named for themselves with their electrifying live performances that has gotten them on the line up of world-class festivals like the BAM Festival.

With their self-titled EP, The Alternates have dominated acclaimed venues such as The House Of Blues- Sunset Strip, The Whiskey A Go Go, BB King’s Blues Club, The Key Club among others, playing over a repertoire of 30 original songs with promising singles, “Should Have” and “Who Can You Trust These Days?”.

The Alternates were selected and invited by A&R Connection with over 200 bands request to perform at the special showcase at The Key Club in West Hollywood on Saturday, August 22, 2009. They will also participate in this year’s Solano Avenue Stroll Festival in Berkeley on Sunday, September 13, 2009 and the world-acclaimed BAM Festival 2009 in Barcelona, Spain on Sunday, September 27, 2009. The BAM Festival (Barcelona Acciò Musical) of music is an important part of the city‘s lively Mercé celebrations. A mixed program of European bands and dance acts perform at mostly outdoor locations throughout the Catalan capital. In and around 165,000 festival goers hit the city streets every September to witness one of the most successful urban festivals of its kind and some big names to with the likes of Lou Reed, Ojos de Brujo and Rinocerose playing over the years. Barcelona‘s coastal charms, architectural delights, buzzing night-life and are all part and parcel of the festivities as the festival stretches over six days. The Alternates have become one of the most talked about local indie bands of 2009!
